"Cut your darlings"

in
Expression in the film editing room after some memorable and beautiful scenes or shots are edited out, ending up on the editing floor or in the bin, usually because they would throw off the rhythm of the film and after the flow of the scripted order.

'CLEAN' EDITS

in
Cutting or edit points where the synchronizing pulses are in step, so there is no electronic disturbance in the picture, i.e. the edits are ‘invisible’.

'CRABBING'

in
Moving sideways in an arc around a stationery subjects or across the action. The smoothest crabbing (also called ‘trucking’) shots are obtained with a dolly.

C-band

C-clamp
