Shiney Ahuja was drugs free!
An FSL official said, "The samples sent to
us were taken barely hours after the incident. Thus, the results cannot
be doubted. If the samples were taken a day or two later, the body
would have passed out the drug an alcohol. The test result means that
the alleged offence was committed in complete consciousness by the
accused."
The FSL on Monday received the nail samples of the victim. The
samples were sent by the Oshiwara police as a medical examination of
Shiney had revealed scratch marks on his right wrist and an injury on
the index finger of his left hand.
The FSL will look for traces of blood or skin in the nail samples. If any is found, experts would conduct a DNA test and match it with the DNA fingerprint of Shiney.
An FSL expert, however, said that the delay in sending the nail samples could hamper the test results. "The nail samples should have been sent to us immediately after the incident. But we got it on Monday. These are elementary things that police should do as soon as they arrest a rape accused. By now, the victim must have washed her hands several times."
