Riteish Deshmukh has been a high profile personality even before he joined Bollywood. Born in Latur city in Marathwada, Maharashtra and youngest of two sons of Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ritesh is considered one among the best comedians and a promising actor in Hindi film industry. After completion of his education from G. D. Somani High School and Kamala Raheja School of Architecture in Mumbai, he worked in New York City after graduation while studying acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Back in India he made his debut in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam, an average hit at the box office. He became a known face after the 2004 comedy Masti. He has mainly taken on comic roles, rather than serious roles and has appeared in successful comedy films like Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005), Malamaal Weekly (2006) and Apna Sapna Money Money (2006). Recently, he was seen in the multi-starrer action film Cash (2007) which was a box office failure, Heyy Babyy (2007), which was quite successful at the box office and Dhamaal (2007) which was moderately successful. He also appeared in Om Shanti Om (2007). His upcoming films are De Taali and Aladdin.
